Where to Place the Device
For reliable measurements, the Aranet Radiation sensor should be placed in a location that represents the area you want to monitor, with minimal shielding or interference. Position the device in an open area, ideally about 1–2 meters (3–6 ft) above ground or floor level, where it is not blocked by thick walls, metal objects, or dense furniture that could partially absorb radiation. Avoid placing it directly against concrete walls, large appliances, or inside cabinets. Keep the sensor away from strong heat sources, moisture, and direct sunlight.
Place the sensor in your home to enhance family safety or carry it with you for improved health consciousness (IP20 rating). Ideal for frequent travelers, educational enthusiasts and those in close proximity to radiation sources.
The Aranet Radiation sensor should not be placed in direct sunlight or in areas with a risk of splashing the sensor with different liquids, or high-humidity environments (higher than 85%), such as your bathroom. Place the sensor in a safe place where it cannot accidentally be dropped because it isn’t drop-proof.
