Where to Place the Device in a Room
For the most accurate readings, place the device in an open area where it can measure the air as it naturally circulates in the room. The ideal position is at breathing height (about 1–1.8 m / 3–6 ft above the floor), either mounted on a wall or placed on a shelf or desk. Avoid positioning the device near windows, doors, radiators, air conditioners, or ventilation outlets, as drafts and heat sources can distort measurements. Keep it away from direct sunlight and do not place it in corners, behind curtains, or too close to people’s faces, as this can lead to unrepresentative readings. A stable, shaded location with normal airflow will provide the most reliable results.
The Aranet2 should not be placed in direct sunlight or in areas with a risk of splashing the sensor with different liquids, or high-humidity environments (higher than 85%), such as your bathroom. Place the sensor in a safe place where it cannot accidentally be dropped because it isn’t drop-proof.
